Distinguished Service Award Winners

The REALTORS® Conference & Expo is also a time for celebrating members who have gone above and beyond for their clients, their neighbors and their communities. The Distinguish Service Award Winner recognizes members who have shown exceptional meritorious service for at least 25 years.

Distinguished Service Award Winner: Bruce Aydt

Bruce Aydt, ABR, ABRM, CRB, GREEN, e-PRO®, SFR, a REALTOR® from St Louis, has been named one of two recipients of the 2012 NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Distinguished Service Award.

Aydt is senior vice president and general counsel for Prudential Alliance, REALTORS® and has been active in NAR for many years, leading a variety of committees, work groups, and presidential advisory groups.

He has served as president of both the St. Louis and the Missouri associations and has been named REALTOR® of the year by both. In addition, he authors bi-monthly ethics column for REALTOR® Magazine.

Distinguished Service Award Winner: Paula Savard

Paula K. Savard, CRB, CRS, GRI, a REALTOR® from Lancaster, Mass., has been named one of two recipients of the 2012 NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Distinguished Service Award.

Savard is CEO of Paula K. Aberman Associates Inc. She has served in a variety of leadership positions for NAR, including 1997 regional vice president for Region 1. Savard was a key advocate for the creation of mandatory Code of Ethics training. REALTORS® complete training at least once every four years to retain their membership.

Savard also served as president of the North Central (Mass.) and Massachusetts associations and chaired a task force that resulted in a collaborative MLS owned by local associations from across the state.
